Steps to obtaining HGV Licence

Steps to gaining an HGV Licence

Book a medical.  

You must be certified as medically fit. DLM1 forms - medical report for a Group 2 (lorry or bus) licence are available here:

Apply for your provisional by completing the DL2 entitlement from the DVA.  If you require help of information at this stage please do not hesitate to contact us on 078 0319 7737.

We’ll assess your driving ability and produce a structured training course to meet your needs


Practical Driver Training 


Practical Demonstration Test is carried out to test your knowledge and understanding of vehicle safety.

Once you’ve passed your practical test, the examiner will submit your licence to the DVA for the full entitlement 


Once you receive your entitlement you’re ready for the road!


New drivers who passed their car test after January 1997 must complete modules 2 & 4 to drive legally on the road
